hideaway girl
hideaway girl was written by a teenage girl, Astrid. She does not post anymore, but I couldn't help but be drawn to her blog. Everything she posted was either a story of something she experienced, a relatable poem, or her stance on a subject. Her first ever post was January of 2015, so Astrid's teenage years are documented in chronological order for about 4 years. To see how her writing and posts have progressed while she was growing into an adult was a very inspiring thing to see. hideaway girl opened my eyes to how a blog post about someone's average day can be so interesting and intriguing to read about. Another thing I was drawn to is the balance of words and images on her blog. They are arranged in a neat and organized way that's pleasing to the eye.
Maggie McGill
Maggie McGill's blog is a beautiful and welcoming mixture of daily life, plus size fashion and positivity, and LGBT pride content all in one page. Mags is a nonbinary adult who posts often about being comfortable and feeling liberated in your own body. They post links to fashionable clothes that are plus-sized, which are known for being often difficult to locate. Her blog is a perfect mix of her every day and the things they enjoy. I thought their blog was very appealing to the eye and I love how everything is sorted. I plan to come back to check her blog rather often.
Happy Camper Wives
Valerie and Jessi are the owners of Happy Camper Wives. This blog contains informal and entertaining pieces all about traveling and the life of living in a van! Their blog is beautiful and aesthetically pleasing while containing very valuable information. Together, they blog about everything to do with van life, from how they experienced certain locations as a lesbian couple, to how they cook and eat from their van, to reviews of places and campgrounds they've visited or stayed at. I greatly enjoyed their blog and have always found the way they live to be admirable. As someone who frequently dreams of traveling and camping everywhere, I hope to frequently check in with their future blogposts.
